Covid-19 Statement


Dear and valued guests of The Classic Hotel,

During these unexpected and difficult times, the team of Classic Hotel is here to assure you about how, now more than ever, yours as well as our staff’s safety is on the front line. We have taken immediate action to monitor the latest standards and protocols related to COVID-19 issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Cyprus Government and Ministry of Health. Everything is done in order to keep your health and well-being a top priority. Please find below an update on what we are doing to ensure your safety before, during, and after your stay with us.

Main measures:


  • All room keys will have already been sterilized before new guests get hands on them.
  • A temperature check will be made to every guest in order to make sure that no one staying there is sick.

During your stay:

  • All our team members have received training on the new standards regarding COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Every member of staff will strictly comply with these protective measures which include hand hygiene, wearing masks indoors and social distancing. Employees will also be asked to stay home and seek medical attention if they, or someone in their household, has any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Alcohol based hand sanitizers have been placed in all public spaces including the hotel lobby, restaurant entrance, and public toilets.
  • The use of hand sanitizer will be mandatory before entering the restaurant.
  • When using public spaces, our staff will make sure of the maintenance of social distancing practices, if needed, to ensure yours and others' safety.
  • The frequency of disinfection and cleaning of public spaces will be increased.
  • At the Front Office desk plexiglass barriers are already placed for the safety of both employees and quests.
  • Our public toilets will be cleaned continuously, and are fully equipped with warm water, hand soap, and alcohol-based (>70%) sanitizers.
  • During your stay, your room will not be cleaned daily. This applies for linen {bed sheets, towels, etc} as well. If you wish otherwise, you can ask for the daily cleaning of the room to the reception.
  • All hotel clothing will be washed at 60 °C and above. Washed linen and clothes will be separated from those that are unwashed in separate bags of different colors when transferred from the hotel’s housekeepers.
  • Empty rooms are ventilated with open windows and air-conditioning on for at least 20 minutes. Rooms will be available to next guest at least 1 hour after the disinfection procedure.
  • Extra fabrics and decorations in the rooms will be eliminated, to avoid the risk of contamination.
  • A discrete Floor Sticker will be installed in front of reception desk and restaurant for social distancing purposes. Tables and chairs in all F&B outlets are spread out according to legislation, 1 person per 2 square meters inside & 1 person per 1.5 square meters outside.
  • Maximum number of guests will be 10 per table.
  • Buffet breakfast will be available while following all necessary guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Gym will operate with a 1 person per 8 square meters. The number of equipment is reduced to maintain a 2 meters distancing. Guests have to disinfect each equipment before and after use.
  • Lobby furniture will be placed in such a way for the prevention of crowding and for achieving social distancing.
  • In the case that you feel unwell and/or experience COVID-19 symptoms, please let the staff know immediately so that we can assure yours and others' safety.

  • Please ensure you have all your personal belongings with you. After your stay, your room will go through deep cleaning in order to be prepared for the next guest.
  • Check out will be done one room at a time, while following social distancing practices as with the check-in.
